Partial & Full Dentures
Missing teeth and even teeth that are missing certain sections can be replaced with the use of partial and full dentures provided by our dentist, Lohring Miller DMD. If you don’t need all of your teeth replaced, the dentist will add partial dentures, also known as overdentures. Your partial dentures will make your teeth look normal and also strengthen them so they hold strong in the years ahead. The addition of partial and full dentures requires a comprehensive measuring of your mouth. The dentist will create impressions based on these measurements.
Temporary dentures will be used as a test-run to ensure the final versions will prove to be just the right fit. The dentist will adjust your partial or full dentures as necessary for optimal comfort and functionality. The alignment, color and shape of your dentures is of the utmost importance as these subtleties shape their look and functionality.
If all of your teeth are missing or if the majority are missing, you can likely benefit from full dentures. The process necessary to create full dentures is similar to that used to make partial dentures. The primary difference between the two is that the dentist might have to remove or reshape teeth that remain in the mouth if they are decaying or damaged, prior to the placement of full dentures.
