Fillings
You might have one or several cavities and not even know it. We perform comprehensive dental examinations including the use of x-rays that identify cavities between teeth that cannot be seen with the naked eye. If any cavities are identified, they will be filled. If you have not had your mouth evaluated for cavities and other issues within the past month or if you feel tooth pain, tooth sensitivity or surface discoloration, there is a good chance you have a cavity. Contact us right away at (541) 357-4938 to schedule an appointment at our dental practice.
The cavity filling process requires opening the tooth with a drill or laser and eliminating the decay as well as the buildup of bacteria. A full cleansing is performed so all the bacteria and debris is removed. The tooth in question will be isolated throughout this process so moisture does not interfere with the filling. Your mouth will be numbed prior to the addition of the dental filling so don’t worry about any potential pain. Once the drilled cavity is filled, the tooth in question will be filed and smoothed so it does not prevent proper chewing.
